Education

I received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Amherst College in Amherst, MA in 2010. I wrote a thesis on behavioral economics which granted me Magna Cum Laude. I also studied abroad in Santiago, Chile. Prior to that I went to high school in La Jolla, CA at The Bishop's School where I was on the Honor Roll.

Experience

I am a tutor for Elani Learning, an online network of tutors. We challenge our students to take charge of the learning process and find the patterns in their previous mistakes. It is our hope that, beyond preparing for an upcoming exam or other type of short term goal, that the students will be able to build upon these skills for the rest of their academic careers.

I have a passion for startup companies and currently work part time as the controller for a solar energy startup. I like to go hiking and explore different types of nature. This passion combines nicely with my love of travel. Most recently I was able to explore the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica, a floating piece of ice the size of France!
