Experience
Most of my experience as a tutor has been informal, primarily working with family and friends. I spent a year in high school tutoring math to other students. I'm currently attending the University of California in San Diego, studying towards a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a minor in probability and statistics. I am a math tutor, working with students taking courses in algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and others. I prefer tutoring mathematics because I excel in logic and problem solving, which are immensely important to the subject. As a tutor, I try to consider the student's needs while working with them to improve their scores and prepare them for the tests ahead. I aim to ensure they completely comprehend the concepts they are struggling with before moving onward. Working with students allows me to gain a deeper understanding of the subjects, even as I tutor it. When working with students, I try to teach them ways they can apply certain methods to unique situations. Aside from course materials, I tutor students in SAT math, AP calculus, and college algebra. In my spare time, I enjoy everything related to music. I am a big fan of jazz, blues, and rock.
