Experience
I'm currently seeking my doctoral degree at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California - San Diego. I also attended Florida Gulf Coast University to receive bachelor's degrees in environmental engineering and civil engineering. I've been tutoring since high school, helping middle school level students with math, and also I have been a teaching assistant in engineering courses at the college level. I love helping students learn new things, and that inspired me to become a professor someday. I can tutor a number of subjects, but my favorites are biology, physics, and math. I love these topics as a learner myself. I like to take complex concepts and then cut them into fractions that are more easy to understand. I then build back up to the whole concept. This has proven to be very effective. I also relate the concept of a doctoral to the real world, which help students understand the importance of the concept and makes it more interesting. When I have some free time, I like to play volleyball, football, and basketball. I also enjoy scuba diving, the ocean, movies, books, and spending time with family and friends. I am looking forward to tutoring students in calculus one through three, biology, geometry, algebra, physics, statistics, trigonometry, and environmental science, and helping students prepare for standardized tests like the ACT, GRE, AP exams, and others.
