I graduated from the University of California - San Diego with a degree in bioengineering. I love tutoring, and I enjoy helping students learn new things. When I work with students I don't just help them solve problems. Instead I help them understand the thought process of how to solve problems so that they can understand the process and solve problems on their own. Science and math, especially higher levels, are based on some basic fundamental concepts that you learn about during your academic career. If you have a solid understanding of these fundamental concepts, we can build on top of those to move into advanced courses. It's necessary to show students the steps in solving problems, but the real learning happens when students understand why they take the steps. That allows them to apply their knowledge to face new challenges. In my free time, I enjoy basketball, soccer, and swimming.
