4+ years tutoring experience 2009-2010 tutored elementary students in an After School Program in subjects varying from english, math, and science 2011-2012 tutored high school students in Peer Mentoring Program in Physics and Calculus 2013-current tutoring elementary and high school students in all math and science subjects Qualifications: -Computer Engineering Major -Personally chosen to be one of three students to represent the school in the district-wide "Mathletics" competition in 2009 -Experience tutoring students with different learning styles Reason to be a tutor: I am one of the few girls interested in an engineering programs and have a real passion for math and science. I don't believe it is possible to dislike math, I only believe it is possible to get frustrated and mistake that feeling for dislike. One of my favorite things to do is help a student overcome their anxieties and fears when solving problems, and teach them that any equation can be made simple if looked at step-by-step.
