Experience
I have tutored for 4 years during both my undergraduate and graduate experience. My tutor students were in the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades. I am currently a full time teacher (2nd grade) at a charter school. Previously, I have taught Kindergarten. I believe that individual tutoring time helps students who may benefit from the extra support. Some students cannot be reached fully in a whole group or small group session. During the average school day, teachers may not be able to reach students one on one. Therefore, I believe that tutoring can benefit students who will succeed with the specialized and focused study time.
