ExperienceI have tutored for 4 years during both my undergraduate and graduate experience. My tutor students were in the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades.
I am currently a full time teacher (2nd grade) at a charter school. Previously, I have taught Kindergarten.
I believe that individual tutoring time helps students who may benefit from the extra support. Some students cannot be reached fully in a whole group or small group session. During the average school day, teachers may not be able to reach students one on one. Therefore, I believe that tutoring can benefit students who will succeed with the specialized and focused study time.
HobbiesI am a friendly and intuitive person who enjoys being around others. I am a positive role model and believes that education is a power that any child can utilize to their needs. I enjoy being outside, I bake frequently, and I love teaching.
I am able to teach all subjects as I have my multiple subject teaching credential. I can teach English Language Arts (reading, comprehension, word analysis), Writing, Math (grades K-10 - including geometry, algebra II, trigonometry, and precalculus), Science (biology), Social Studies, and study skills. Algebra, Biology, Calculus, Geometry, Pre-Calculus
