My name is Melodie Kruspodin and I am from Los Angeles. Throughout my school career I have had many different opportunities to work with other students of all ages. When I was in the fifth grade, my parents separated and I struggled to keep up with my schoolwork. I understand that sometimes kids need extra help outside of the classroom, and I would like to be there to provide that helping hand. During high school I was part of a non-violence club sponsored byt eh non-profit organization Peace Over Violence and worked every winter and summer in middle schools throughout Los Angeles teaching kids about violence, abuse, and how to build healthy relationships. I got a 1930 on my SATs and graduated towards the top of my class in high school. On the AP English Language and English Literature tests I got 4s and on the AP US Government and AP Comparative Government tests I got 3s. I became close with many of my teachers and still maintain good relationships with them. I am organized, hard working and get along great with many kinds of people.

My favorite subjects in school are classes that have to do with English, history, politics, and the other social sciences. I love public speaking and acting. I was on the speech and debate team in high school. I love swimming, camping, and watching movies
